MUDCATS FINISH SEASON RANKED # 3 IN NATION; LAND 3 ASPBA ALL-AMERICANS
The Mudcats finished the season ranked # 3 in the nation according to ASPBA with a 30-5 overall record. The Mudcats were a dominating force all summer as they built a foundation for years to come with great chemistry and great baseball. The Mudcats won both the regular season and the tournament championships in the Austin Metro Baseball League in 2008 in just their first season. The Mudcats are currently playing in the fall season in the Austin Metro Baseball League and are looking to capture a few more titles as well. The Mudcats will be back in full force in 2009 after the fall and will be looking to improve upon an incredible start to their franchise resurrection.
The Mudcats landed 3 ASPBA All-Americans for the 2008 campaign. Pitchers Scott Green and Aaron Smith were selected as well as 1B Mike Pumo. Congratulations to these individuals for making a prestigous list from players all around the United States and representing the Mudcat Nation.
